Illustrator Paulo Mariotti captures the essence of summer with Vondom.
We recently welcomed the month of April and with it, a season in which nature really comes into its own. Flowers add splashes of colour to previously wintry landscapes, the sun’s rays are getting stronger and the days are becoming longer. It’s spring, a season that this year, due to exceptional circumstances, is proving to be fleeting and somewhat strange.
We feel the need to live the moment and at the same time, to turn the page and move on. With this in mind, Ideat Magazine has published an issue inspired by spring trends and evoking a better time, a summer that will soon be here for us all to enjoy.
This special issue of the French magazine is given over to outdoor furniture, including Spanish brand Vondom in a feature format and also in an exclusive illustration by renowned Brazilian artist Paulo Mariotti.
The illustrator’s work captures his particular view of summer through the Ibiza sustainable collection, designed by Eugeni Quitllet and made using recycled plastic reclaimed from the Mediterranean Sea. A colourful snapshot showing what is yet to come, the magic of summer, the soft sea breeze on our skin, the smell of the sea, waves rolling in and breaking on the shore, warm sunshine, sand between our toes and the chance to reconnect with our inner selves.
Here at Vondom, we’d like to thank Ideat Magazine and editor Laurent Blanc, as well as Mariotti for his very personal vision, for giving us the chance to share a little piece of summer and of hope.
“This photograph reflects the beauty of the summer, and the ephemeral character that is captured in a shell shape form.” by Eugeni Quitllet
