A revolution invaded the historic art center in Bombas Gens, in Valencia, where the designer furniture brand ,introduced Revolution, and made it clear that the brand is not only a reference to innovation and style, but, that the company understands its responsibility to ensure a more sustainable future.
Coinciding with the Habitat 2019 fair, a large representation of the designer, media and culture sectors, came to enjoy an evening enlivened by enveloping music and exclusive cocktails, prepared by the Michelin chef, Ricard Camarena.
The venue were this event was hosted was the Fundació per Amor a l’Árt, whose social value, as a reference center in the field of contemporary art, helped create a dynamic flow between design and culture. The marine atmosphere designed by Eugeni Quitllet was composed by projections, a ray of lights, colors and even a central structure composed by several of our new pieces, immersed guests in Vondom’s Revolution universe.
The design of the showcase with the levitating pieces inside came out after a collaboration with the Design and Arts School of Valencia (EASD), where the young designer Carmen Amanda Ruiz came up with this impressive project.
And it is that, this commitment that leads the brand, aims to contribute to the cleaning and repair of our seas and coasts, turning discarded plastics into exclusive and timeless pieces. A clear commitment to a sustainable design, with which Vondom aspires to be pioneers of the eco-intelligent industry. As Michelle Poon, our marketing director, pointed out: “We would like to offer more that just designer furniture. We aim to create plastic pieces recycled 100 % from the sea. We aspire to be pioneers in this field.
As this could not be in any other way, the collection that begins this transformation is Ibiza, by Eugeni Quitllet, whom during his presentation emphasized on the importance of caring for, enjoying and protecting nature, “All of my ideas derive from light and from the sea, just like life … ” Pieces marked by the childhood of the design, on the idyllic island that, like his memories, endure over time, and fight for the dream of creating a better world.
So, after cocktails, great photos and light conversation, the evening came to an end and time to return to our day to day routine but this time, with a smile, it is not every day that you can find such a sincere statement of intentions as we found with Vondom, a brand that adapts and evolves, a brand with has its own soul.
