La Maison Hotel & Spa

Saarlouis, Germany

Wellness shaped by gardens, soft light, and design

In Saarlouis—a city shaped by history and surrounded by lush vegetation—La Maison Hotel & Spa reinterprets contemporary hospitality with a sensitivity that bridges past and present. Designed by the local studio CBAG.studio, the project revitalizes a historic villa and opens it to the landscape, creating new spaces that dialogue with their surroundings while preserving the memory of the place.

The interior design—developed by Nicolay Design together with CBAG and Conni Kotte Interior—builds a refined dialogue between memory and modernity. Deep colors, herringbone wood, enveloping paneling, and historical references reinterpreted with a graphic sensibility create a scenic yet welcoming atmosphere, where every room hides a detail meant to surprise without excess.

In the wellness areas, the experience becomes even more immersive. The spa— inspired by the serenity of southern France—opens to gardens, saunas, and relaxation zones that seem to float amid the greenery. Here, the Milos sun loungers in an intense red finish introduce the most striking gesture in the project. Their organic curves, generous volumes, and warm upholstery become an immediate focal point, offering sculptural presence and character. The contrast between the calm environment and the vibrancy of the color creates a magnetic visual effect that defines the identity of this retreat.

For this wellness universe, the team selected the Milos sun lounger, designed by Jean-Marie Massaud for Vondom—a piece conceived to embrace the body and support long moments of rest. At La Maison Hotel & Spa, it appears with generous proportions and soft cushioning, while the high-performance outdoor fabrics and structures built for intensive use ensure durability and comfort in equal measure. Everything is designed to make the experience effortless, pleasant, and fully aligned with the hotel’s idea of sanctuary.

In this equilibrium of architecture, landscape, and design, Vondom pieces find their natural place: they accompany, enhance, and add character without overshadowing what truly matters. Every detail contributes to shaping an experience that lingers quietly—intimate, evocative, and deeply contemporary.
